Well what a great start we have had to the term!

The Athletics today was just amazing .... I know that you will have some very tired children tonight.

Towards the end of last term, Peter's Dad Simon came in to talk to the Rutherford team about his job as a fireman as part of our unit on "Keeping Safe".  The children particularly enjoyed seeing what Simon wears as a fireman AND they all asked some really great questions.  Simon talked of the importance of knowing where to go in case of a fire in your home as well as knowing how to get out. You might like to have a chat with your child about this.  Here are some photos from his visit ....

Your child may have also told you about a very special visitor we had on the last day of Term 3.  Benji, Conor's dog, came in to see us!  We talked about what you need to do to look after a dog and also Conor's mum showed us just how obedient he is .... he was able to sit, lie down and stay.  We were all very impressed.  The children loved having Benji to visit  as you can probably tell by the photos below.
