Hello everyone. As you have probably already realised we are well and truly back into school life in Room 2. I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for preparing your children so well for our school year. Whether it's making sure they have the correct uniform, having all of their stationery requirements or simply spending time with them each morning in the classroom so that your child feels relaxed and happy to be at school, you have just been amazing and it has contributed to us having a fabulous start to the year.
Next Thursday is our "Meet the teacher" evenings. I am unsure on what time these will be as yet but I will let you know when I know. The PTA are also holding a family fun night on this night too so it's a great chance to spend some time with other school families. I hope to see you all there! But there will be more details about this night very soon.
Today we had a wonderful Maths lesson and I just thought I would show you some photos of your children hard at work.
Tomorrow night your child will bring home their Poetry book as their reading homework for the weekend. We are focusing on traditional nursery rhymes at the moment, especially their rhyming features and the word families that they come from. Please enjoy this time - it's meant to be a relaxing, fun time to read together.
